How I started Playing Softball

By: Elizabeth D.

It all started when I went to the batting cage with my dad. I was a little nervous at first, but my dad made me feel better by showing me the basic steps on how to hold the bat and to keep an eye on the ball. I hit a few balls but not a lot. I guess I’m pretty good. My Dad said I should join because he said I’m a good hitter. I thought it over and I decided to join. My first practice came and I was very nervous. It was going pretty good actually. My coaches, Coach Camp and Coach Bonamassa helped on anything I was doing wrong. I think I’m a good catcher. My dad told me and my brother to go and throw some balls every day after school. On my team, I’ve made friends, Cheyenne and Sarah. They are really nice. With a lot of practice, I know I’ll improve.

I’d like to thank my mom, dad and my sister/cousin, Marisa, for supporting me and helping my with everything I need to know. Love ya guys!
